Hi, I'm Dr. Sheryl Guloy - a researcher, consultant, and coach who helps organisations and individuals to improve their health and performance through better sleep.
My mission to spread the word about sleep health and wellness is a personal one. For the majority of my life, I struggled to obtain good sleep, until
I put my research skills to use to learn how to get the sleep I needed.
In 2015, Dr. Luc Beaudoin, who developed mySleepButton®, and I began to talk in earnest about how we could reach more communities, organisations, and individuals to tell them about the importance of sleep. We co-founded Somnolence+ and provide fatigue risk management, sleep consulting, and sleep coaching services to organisations and individuals.
Rounding out our team is Dr. Arturo Santisteban (whose picture you see here with mine!). He is a sleep scientist and medical doctor whose mission to educate people about sleep also began with his own search for good sleep.
Together, we help people by teaching them about sleep health and wellness and by coaching them to get the sleep they need.
THEN, the COVID-19 pandemic happened. Just like you, our lives were upended and disrupted. We know, first-hand, how important it is for your health and performance to get the sleep you need right now. So, we decided to share with you our experiences in a video guide - recorded while we ourselves are in crisis mode, self-isolating or practicing social distancing.
We know what you are going through, but we also have the experience and knowledge to help you to get the sleep you need in very practical ways.
Because the pandemic is affecting far more people than we can possibly coach, one-on-one, we decided to create this video to help as many people as possible to
get better sleep during this time of crisis. You will learn techniques that were actually used to help COVID-19 patients. These tried, true, and tested strategies have helped ourselves and others to get the sleep they need. These strategies can also help you to
optimise your sleep,
especially if you can't get the number of hours of sleep you normally need because you are a front-line health care worker or caregiver.
So,
join Dr. Arturo Santisteban and me, as we break down these strategies for you so that you can
sleep well.
